StarryDrive uses the vehicle's PrimaryPart for all collision and suspension calculations. For the best results, keep the PrimaryPart as a simple rectangular chassis.

Use a Front Bumper

A perfectly rectangular chassis can easily catch on ledges, ramps, curbs, or uneven terrain. When the front edge collides directly with an obstacle, the transition can feel rough and may briefly upset the suspension.

For smoother driving, consider adding a small triangular wedge to the front of the chassis to act as a bumper. This gives the vehicle a sled-like front, allowing it to glide onto obstacles instead of hitting them with a flat edge.

This improves how the vehicle transitions over bumps by giving the suspension slightly more time to react as the front climbs the obstacle instead of stopping abruptly.

Tip: The bumper should be Massless and have CanCollide disabled. The PrimaryPart should remain the only collidable part used for vehicle physics.

Keep the Chassis Simple

Only the PrimaryPart should participate in the vehicle's physics. Decorative parts, body panels, bumpers, spoilers, and other cosmetic pieces should all be set to Massless with collisions disabled.

Keeping the physics body simple results in more predictable handling and more stable suspension behavior.
